A massive Thank You

24th April 2020

We’ve been absolutely amazed at the amount of generosity shown by the local community during these challenging times, as donations of food and money have continued to arrive. We particularly welcome financial donations at the moment, as it enables us to purchase essential items that we are short of.

Amongst the many heart-warming stories from around the area is one from a lady whose son lives in America. It was his birthday recently and he asked his mother to donate the money she would have spent on his present to us instead.

We’ve also had a donation from a gentleman in Bourton to enable us to purchase fresh bread for our clients as he wanted to support both the Foodbank and the Bakery on the Water in Bourton during the current crisis.

A massive THANK YOU to these people and to everyone else who has supported us over the past month – this will go a long way towards helping us to make sure that no one in our local community has to go hungry because they cannot afford to eat.

If you would like to donate food, the store in Guiting Power is open on Tuesdays from 10-12.00. There are also collection points at Tesco in Stow and the Co-op in Bourton, Moreton, Winchcombe and Bishops Cleeve. You can find a list of what we need most on the home page of our website at https://northcotswold.foodbank.org.uk If you would like to donate money, you can do so online here https://northcotswoldfoodbank.charitycheckout.co.uk/Donate#!/ This money goes directly to North Cotswold Foodbank.

Thank you once again from everyone at North Cotswold Foodbank.
