Thanks a million to generous Tesco shoppers

North Cotswold Foodbank would like to send a huge Thankyou to the hundreds of shoppers who donated during Tesco’s Winter Food Collection.

We’d also like to thank Tesco for holding the event every year to support local food banks. The three-day collection period makes a huge difference to our supplies and means that we can do our best to ensure that no one goes without at Christmas.

This year, the total collected at stores in Stow-on-the-Wold and Bishop’s Cleeve was a whopping 1,756kg of essentials, ranging from mince pies and baked beans to washing up liquid and loo rolls.

Thankyou to everyone who donated and so cheerily accepted the food bank shopping lists handed out by our volunteers. We couldn’t do it without the generosity and kindness of our local community.
