North Cotswold Foodbank is asking shoppers in Bishops Cleeve to support people in crisis this spring by donating at the Tesco Food Collection Event
On Friday 7th April, Good Friday, we will be holding a food collection event at Tesco in Bishops Cleeve. Customers will be asked to donate essential items of long-life food such as rice, soup, canned fish, sponge puddings, and household cleaning products.
Kevin Carden, manager of North Cotswold Foodbank, urged local people to support the food collection during their supermarket shop on Friday, saying “We are seeing an increasing number of people at our centres as the cost of living crisis means more people are forced to turn to a Foodbank. Your support by donating during the Tesco Food Collection this week will be vital in helping us provide the best possible support to families in crisis today, while working towards a future where everyone has enough for the essentials.”
If you are unable to support us on Friday, Tesco has a permanent collection point where you can donate items at any time as part of your weekly shop.
