This week we’re celebrating Volunteers’ Week. It’s a wonderful opportunity to say thank you to all the dedicated and amazing volunteers who keep North Cotswold Foodbank running. Thanks to them, people in our communities are able to access the support they need, which is more important than ever during these unprecedented times.
This past year has been different to anything we have seen before. When Covid hit, we saw an immediate surge in the need for emergency food across our area. Lockdown meant that we had to adapt to a different way of delivering our services, whilst making sure that everyone who needed it had access to support. Some of our volunteers were forced to shield, while new volunteers came forward to help where they could.
So we want to say a big “thank you” to all our volunteers for everything they have done over the past year. In the most challenging of worlds, they have made an extraordinary contribution and their resilience, commitment, and passion are truly inspiring.
