MP visits North Cotswold Foodbank

17th February 2020

Sir Geoffrey Clifton-Brown MP visited North Cotswold Foodbank’s Chipping Campden centre last Friday where he met the centre manager, Tooty Gibbs, and her team of volunteers. Project Manager, Kevin Carden, and Trustee, Rhian Morgan, were also on hand to meet the MP for North Cotswolds and talk to him about the work of the foodbank.

Sir Geoffrey said he was extremely impressed with the fantastic work that the foodbank does and thanked the volunteers for all the work that they do to help those in need. He appreciated the difficulties people face in living in the North Cotswolds such as spread-out communities with often poor bus services and little access to cheaper supermarkets.

Tooty Gibbs said: “We are delighted that Sir Geoffrey could make time to meet the volunteers at Chipping Campden and understand why there is a need for a foodbank in the North Cotswolds. He was very impressed with the additional things we provide at Chipping Campden such as meat vouchers, eggs and the little library.”
