North Cotswold Foodbank is looking for a van driver for the Stow-on-the-Wold and Guiting Power area for 2 hours on Tuesdays from 1030 – 1230.
Overview of the role
Foodbanks provide three-day emergency food parcels for people in crisis, working in partnership with organisations across the community. Van drivers play a fundamental role in the running of the foodbank, collecting food donations from a variety of locations across the local area as well as distributing the sorted donations from the warehouse to the local food bank centres.
Key tasks
- Collecting food donations from Tesco and Co-op in Stow on the Wold and delivering them to our warehouse in Guiting Power
- Transporting pre-packed food parcels from the warehouse to our centre in Stow on the Wold (Baptist Church, Station Road)
- Loading and unloading of the van
- Keeping the van clean and tidy
- Completing daily vehicle checks
- Occasional cover for other drivers / events (subject to your availability)
About you
- Minimum age 25
- Hold a valid UK/EU/EEA Driving licence (Full or Automatic only) for at least 12 months with no penalty points
- Adaptable and flexible
- Personable and committed
- You will need to comply with the Driving policy of the foodbank
- Able to lift loaded crates (weight up to 15kg) on and off the van. A driver’s mate will accompany you.

You will be given all the required training and support before starting your role.
